Ride for a Cure 2024

Ride for a Cure 2024 has concluded, marking an inspiring and challenging journey through the French Alps. Six dedicated cyclists from Incyte embarked on this 710km route, facing significant climbs and enduring the summer heat, all while raising crucial funds for the iCMLf. And, thanks to your support, the team reached their fundraising goal, raising over $10,000!

Here are some of their journey highlights:

• Day 1: The team was enthusiastically sent off by Incyte colleagues, beginning their adventure with high spirits.
• Day 2: The team faced a grueling climb, tackling an ascent with a 10-11% gradient, covering 86km and climbing 1988 meters. It was one of the hardest days for many, with temperatures soaring above 30°C.
• Day 3: The riders tackled nearly 2000 meters at Cormet de Roselend, with a total climb of 2500m over 90km, under high temperatures.
• Day 5: The climb to Col de Galibier was particularly demanding, with the team ascending 2500 meters in intense heat. 
• Day 7: Some riders took on additional challenges, climbing over 2800 meters above sea level, while others completed a beautiful 90km ride, preparing for the final stretch.
• Day 8: They made it! The team finished 8 days of riding with around 140km and a 2700-meter elevation gain.

Despite the challenges, the team remained committed, fueled by their shared goal of supporting the iCMLf's mission. The funds raised will support vital research, international collaboration, and resources for healthcare professionals working with CML.
